Blog 13: UK Graduates Judged Unemployable

In England, there have been rumors about new graduates being “unemployable.”  Some lobbyists feel that young workers to do have the right attitudes to get employed, they are not willing to go out and find a job. In England the number of foreign workers has increased in the past year. So is the problem more with the competing job market new graduates are entering into rather than the new graduates are being lazy? It is sad to hear that the people that are hard working are automatically being put underneath an umbrella where there are lazy young workers.  Not only are the new graduates having difficulties finding jobs they have poor living conditions and are competing with immigrants for jobs. Yes, some students are not assertive enough to get a job but it does not mean all graduates should be categorized as lazy as well. In any country the job market is competitive and that is probably why there are more immigrants workers now because job seeking people travel to different countries looking for jobs that possible have more opportunities.  The job market is getting better because more companies are hiring more positions and new companies are being created daily. Graduates also need to keep in mind that they cannot be that picky with their job, as long as it pays the bills until the next best opportunity comes around. This assumption to me is similar to people saying things about certain racists. Assuming has created tension in the past and it could create tension again.  Graduates just need to keep a positive attitude and the right job will come along.
