Africa has always been a country that has struggled with the economy. Due to the fast paced world with technology and constant upgrades, Africa is one of the countries that hasn't been able to keep up. Now, due to the AGOA (Africans growth and opportunity act) they have made moves to upgrade Africa and introduce more jobs for the African people. They often look for guidance from China, which is known for being exports on goods and does it well. They have already grown a substantial amount since 2000 climbing from $23 billion to $81 billion in 2008 and want to reach even higher goals. One of the struggles that Africa has and will face is keeping up with supply chain in a clean and safe way. They have to pass standards and codes to export their goods and with their economy not being as wealthy sometimes the ability and availablity to those products can be a challenge.
Africa has indeed had trouble for many years. Not only have they not been able to keep up with the business world, but they have struggles just to feed their communities and keep them healthy. Many of the thoughts thtat come to mind to other countries, US in particular, is the idea of child labor. For countries such as Africa, they have to put their children to work to stay alive. As US citizens this is frowned upon and may be difficult to have the funding to these countries with the fear that they will continue to neglect the ethical thoughts that we may have. Helping others especially being in one of the most well educated and wealthy countries, is a desire, although we have to do it in a smart and efficient way to make sure that we aren't only helping the others, but staying on top of our standards.
