Blog 5 1.7 Million More Teachers Needed to Reach EFA by 2015

This article gives information about the launch of a new report from the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) and Education International (EI) that identifies severe primary teacher gaps in 114 countries and its undermining efforts to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goal (MDG) of Education for All (EFA) by 2015. Also, presented was the new campaign, Every Child Needs a Teacher, this campaign focuses on the plain fact that without trained teachers for all, there will never be Education For All. The report featured some of the most surprising existences behind the data that was reported.
The ability to solve this problem can help reach one of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal, which is to achieve universal primary education. This will help accomplish one of the greatest global social problems that have been going on for years. Although, it is not sure if the goals will be reached by the year of 2015 with this report in mind it should be going towards that way. The more qualified teachers teaching internationally the more quality education will be given to these students. This will create great effects and advance knowledge to those children and countries that did not have this before. Also, the more educated children worldwide, the more they will be able to help family and communities learn basic daily needs, such as small little things to remain healthy. Education is a big part in maintaining a good health. Therefore, these children are going to be able to help themselves and others to educate each other’s on being healthy or taking steps to being healthy. Closing this trained teacher gap helps promote this universal primary education for those students that are in need of quality education.
