Blog 6 10/04 U.N Sets Goals to Improve Attendance Rate at Primary Schools

The article states the goal that the United Nations has set to improve primary school attendance globally. This is based on a concept called Education First that obtains three goals that are putting every child in school, improving the quality of learning and fostering global citizenship. They are setting to reach this goal by the year of 2015 along with the other Millennium Development Goals. This is very important because it is the first time that the United Nations has made education one of their first priorities and it known as a historic decision.
Improving primary school education is a problem that has been trying to be fixed and is meant to be in 2015. This problem is keeping children all over the world from contributing to society. Education is a very important factor in life that is needed to help solve other global problems too. These children that are in need in education are lacking from being someone important in the population. Once they have an education, they will be able to contribute to society by creating more jobs in their country and decreasing the unemployment rates. Also, having a job and maintaining a stable income can help them reach social mobility and help slowly remove the gap between social classes. Health is an important factor that is also connected with education. The children will be able to receive education about how to receive and maintain a better health. While being educated, they will always be promoted to be healthy. The students will be able to learn and also teach their family members and community about this. Therefore, improving primary school attendance globally will help contribute to these other factors.
