Blog 8 Protecting quality public education in a time of crisis 10/19



This article discusses the crisis going on worldwide with education and how it affects society as a whole. One of the key points that are causing this educational crisis is the economic recession. The economic recession is leading to this negative repercussion in education globally. It considers every student and teacher and how greatly they are being affected by this crisis. The threat to educated future generations, social inequalities, and economic and social developments are mentioned in this article. To discuss and send awareness about this issue, education unions and Education International will host a Seminar. They will hold discussions and presentations that will focus on exiting the economic crisis through economic policies that address stability and growth and the future funding of public education systems. Also, they will examine the impacts that it has had on education systems worldwide, especially developing countries.
This educational crisis is going to affect many other problems that are going on globally. Education is an important aspect in society that makes it they way it is. If people do not have an education, they will no be able to reach social mobility or maintain a good state of health. As stated in the article, this crisis will affect greatly developing countries. If they do not have public education, it will become harder for the country to reach development due to lack of education. Since there will not be much education provided, people remain living in poverty, lack education of maintain healthy, which can cause them to be sick and be out of school or work. This leads to no income or problems financially, keeping them from reaching social mobility. This is why the economic recession affects education greatly.
