Crime

After taking a criminology course, I have been blown away at the misconceptions of crime. Mainly, how poorly our media reflects true crime in America, and other parts of the world. With the Sandy Hook school shooting, and countless other violent acts, gun violence has sparked a new movement. Some people are in agreement that we need a change, stricter laws perhaps but others are not. But why is our crime rate high compared to other countries? Or is it? And how do other countries protect themselves? All of these questions are topics I hope to cover with finding articles to cover.
