Crime

My current events topic that I choose for the rest of the semester is crime. I chose this topic because crime happens literally everyday in the world. I will admit that I do not keep up to date with world news as much as I should, but I do see a rather large amount on our rising gun issue. It makes me think that America has the worst crime rates, when in fact that's the only news that I see really. The quote 'out of site, out of mind' is very true and comes to mind when I think about world issues. What we don't see or hear about, we aren't aware of. Crime may be a depressing issue to blog about, but it's a major issue that I feel needs recognition.  This blog will push me to actually research world news and see how maybe our crime has affected other parts of the globe.
