I would like to focus on inequality for my current events. Being a human development major I have learned about many inequalities that take place across race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc., and am astounded by what I have been told. This topic is one that tends to "p#$$ me off", which makes me want to research it more so that I will be prepared to fight for equality when a racist/sexist/homophobic comment arises.
