The current event topic that I chose to focus on is Migration and what are the benefits or set backs of having to migrate from one location to another either frequently or if by force. I chose this topic because I came to the US as a Refugee Immigrant at the age of six not knowing where I am being moved to and not knowing the language or culture. However, my migration from the other side of the world benefitted me tremendously because it opened doors to many opportunities for me and my family that otherwise I wouldn't have if I had stayed in my country. I would like to focus on how migration impacts us globally and not just locally.
