According to this article David Cameron, Prime Minister of the UK is urging students in India to go to Britain to study and work. Mr. Cameron stated that there is "no limit" on how many Indian Nationals are allowed to go to Britain to attend college and find a job. The qualifications for studying at a British University is knowing English and finding a place within the University to stay in. Mr. Cameron also promises that once the students graduate they will be able to find a graduate-level job that is well paid and there won't be restrictions on the jobs or how long they are allowed to stay to work.According to the Higher Education Statistics Authority "the UK had 39,090 Indian students attending British Universities in 2011/2012", but that number soon dropped to "29,000". With the influx of Romanian and Bulgarian migrants to the UK ministers are finding ways to restrict access to public housing, social security, medical services, etc. for them because the country fears that there will be a high demand for jobs, but not enough availability.
Prime Minister, David Cameron is making promises to these Inidian students because he believes that by persuading the students to study at British Universities, Britain will once again become a competitor country. According to Mr. Cameron Britain isn't seen as a competitor country any longer and he wishes to uphold that image.Although Britain is still seen as a well off country, it seems as though there is still plenty of room for innovation and reconstruction. The British fear that if more people from Eastern Europe and Indian migrate into Britain then there will certainly be more competition and that the once proud and honorable nation that Britain was seen as will no longer exist. The prime minister is making questionable promises that these students will have to think about before making a permanent decision.
