In many science fiction books and movies alike you hear of how in the future everyone is genetically engineered in an aim to make humans the best possible, whether in appearance, physical strength, obedience, or intellect. Well, with the recent study in China that may soon become a reality, or at the least a selection of which embryo would be the best to use based on its estimated intelligence, or pretty much its estimated anything based on DNA. All of this requires DNA information collecting from samples of the smartest people they could find and is being conducted by BGI Shenzhen which is a state-endorsed genetic-engineering center in China.
The social implications of this are huge, in that it quite literally changes everything. With the ability to create the smartest individuals and raise the IQ per generation at an even higher rate it will most likely severely improve life's living conditions and help solve the issues of man, just think what it would be like to have billions of Einsteins for example.
