Sudan: UAE Conference Discusses Future of Global Education

Recently, over 500 delegates from around the world converged in United States Emirates and Dubai. They met to discuss the future of global education and skills. They wanted to talk about how this global topic can be improved and accessed by all. There were also a number of former and current heads of state and ministers from various countries. Also involved were international organizations that tend to invest in education. Also present was former United States president Bill Clinton.
Topics that were highlighted during the forum were the numerous challenges faced by the education sector. It was brought to everyone’s attention that there are millions of children who are still experiencing no access to schools. Also in discussion was how can public-private-partnership (PPP) and other reform models help and contribute to strategies and objectives that are being created and talked about to expand education access and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of education.  There were many different speakers who were there to speak and share their experiences among South Sudan’s vice president, Riek Machar Teny, who discussed the challenges that his country faces with education.
Also, during his speech he mentioned his country’s policy that attracts investors and invited those who are able and willing to invest in education to come to South Sudan and speak and contribute to the efforts that are being made to help make education accessible to all. Many other people accompanied the vice president such as people from higher education, general education, youth and sports. The other topics that were discussed in the forum were the importance of providing skills in education.
I find this article to be important when it comes to global issues because it involves the world globally. As stated above, there were many people at this forum from around the world globally. Education is such an important concern and topic that is discussed around the world. There is an effort being made to ensure that everyone is given access to education and not just that but a good quality of education. Education is what fuels the future of this economy and overall the world.
