According to the article, “China’s burgeoning pollution” written by Michelle Reuter stated that in China’s larger cities the air pollution is a very serious problem. Reuter stated that The Environmental Protection Agency defines good air quality as anything under 50 particulates per cubic meter. According to The United States Consulate, they reported that in China during the month of January alone had 19 days of hazardous particulate score of over 301. The hazardous air also caused so health concerns for the children and the elders. For children, the hazardous air can cause developmental delays and diseases like asthma and diabetes. For the elders, the hazardous air can cause an early death for them. Reuter also stated about the 1.2 million premature deaths in China that was caused by air pollution. Reuter stated that the biggest threat was from fine particulates called PM2.5 that is so small that it can enter in a human’s lung and causes breathing problems and it can also cause cancer.
All this article is stating like the other articles that I had blogged about is China’s air pollution. This article stated about the health issues in China and that the most air pollution is at China’s larger cities. It also stated about the 19 days that China was polluted with hazardous air in January. This article also stated about the 1.2 premature deaths. The things that the article didn’t state was Japan helping China get rid of China’s air pollution and the solutions that the Chinese government came up with to further stop their pollution.
