location bracelet

Most of us have heard of the danger those who help in some of the more "foreign" countries have, with the threat of being kidnapped or killed. These dangers are exactly why a new bracelet has been invented, one that does more than wraps around your wrist, this bracelet is in a way an emergency broadcaster. Designed for Civil Rights workers, whenever one feels they are in danger of a kidnapping they can use it to broadcast to messages to facebook and twitter with a set message and their location. This broadcast will also be sent if the bracelet is forcefully removed.

One might wonder how a simple facebook post is going to save someone kidnapped somewhere across the world, though it is there not just so they can be found, but also as a way to inform everyone about what happens there and act as a way to deter the kidnappings in general. Though with the location sent out it will also help locate those who are kidnapped and increase the chance of them being safely rescued. This all will help make it easier for those to aid seemingly unfriendly areas and help those around the world without the fear of losing ones life or freedoms.
