Sony Sugar-based Bio Battery Prototype successfully developed

In the article about Sony, stated that they have announced that it has successfully managed to develop a bio battery that is capable of generating electricity from sugar. The bio battery generates electricity from carbohydrate sources, while utilizing enzymes as its catalyst. The battery generates electricity through the application of power generation principles that are found in living organisms. Through the test cells of Sony the battery has managed to attain a power output of 50 milliwatts.

This article is very informative on the issues of technology and energy. Through the making of the bio battery Sony has developed new technology that will help save energy that the world desperately need to save. The interesting part about the article is that the people at Sony are finding new ways to help save energy and the world, and that this bio battery is the world’s highest level for passive-type bio batteries. What was also interesting is that the Sony company continue its development of immobilization systems, electrode composition and other technologies in order to further enhance power output and durability.
