Peru quake victims battle hunger

An eartquake with a magnitude of 8 crushed several cities in Peru. Approximately 85% of Pisco and it's outskirts homes are in rubble. Many adults and their children have been forced into the streets to make shelters out of whatever they can find to protect them from the elements. Some have recieved tents but very few. Most have to do with what they can find. They are recieving little food and help from the govenment and other organizations. Help arrived directly after the quake but within 3 days left. Their is military present to protect people from robbers. Other cities are recieving help but it doesn't seem to make it to the outskirts. President Garcia says it will take 220 million to rebuild. The desolation here reminds me alot of what New Orleans is going through. I wonder why help never can be spread out?
