The Miami Herald reports that former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev spoke to high school students concerning international topics. Ironically, he spoke to kids that were not even born during his historic term in office that resulted in the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe. Mr. Gorbachev's message was one of advising America to be patient and some what forgiving especially concerning relations between Cuba and the U.S. He encourages and end to the confrontation on behalf of America towards Cuba. After his speaking engagement at Ransom Glades High School he also spoke at a press conference and continued to support Cuba, their programs and Castros leadership abilities. Political experts did not react surprisingly, stating that relations have always been good between Russia and Cuba during Castros and Gorbechev's time in office.
