With an eye on technology

Erin Norris/February 14, 2008/11:31pm/technology

The National Association for the Blind is holding a conference in Karnataka on Friday. The plan of this conference was announced on Tuesday by the president of the Karnataka branch. Their plan is to make people become more aware of the technology that is available for the visually impaired.
This seminar also expressed its concerns for making the technology that is available to the visually impaired be more user friendly and less complicated for these people which in turn also allowed them the opportunity to talk about the empowerment of these people.
I think that it is so good that this organization is taking their cause to other countries and being allowed to speak freely on this issue. I think that it is very important for the visually impaired people in other countries to know that there is an organization out there that is trying to look out for them and be able to help them get all of the things that they need to be functional independent people in the world that we live in today.

This article sounds like a very positive one. Sight is a horrible thing to lose, and recently my dad has had problems seeing so it is always nice to hear about advancements that are being made to help better suit their needs.
