Two alleged bombing suspects were found dead along with inspector Mohan Chand Sharma on Friday in New Delhi, India. Chand was shot three times, most likely from the two militants, belonging to the Muslim Indian Mujahedeen group of Islam. The shooting underwent in a house within the fourth floor of the building that was located in Jamia Nagara, which is known as a strictly Muslim district of New Delhi. Although two were found dead, one militant was captured while two others escaped. He is currently being held in custody. The only evidence that is currently recovered from the crime scene is an AK-47 assault rifle and two .30-caliber pistols, which were the cause of Sharma’s death. This is not the first trouble New Delhi has been experiencing with extremist Muslim groups. Last week a busy marketplace within New Delhi was rumbled with explosive bombs, killing 24 and wounding 100 individuals. The Mujahedeen group claims full responsibility for this act of hatred in their attempts to rectify their religion. The suspected leader of those attacks was reported to be present in the house Friday, in which the shootout took place, leading inspector Sharma to further investigate the location. Another bombing taking place in May in the northwest city of Jaipur is also confirmed to be the act of the Mujahedeen group. Besides obvious religious disagreements, the Mujahedeen group declared “open war” upon India for what they consider years of Muslim persecution as well as their condolence with U.S. policies.
