Five men accused of plotting to kill several soldiers at Fort Dix will be apart of a very new age system of court. In this trial pictures, video ,and audio recordings are prohibited in federal courts. A new technology has been created to allow for the information in the trial to be given to the public immediately. An hour after anything happens transcripts of the court proceedings are to be posted on a website. Dick Carelli, in a spokesman for the administrative office of federal courts and says he has never seen information travel so fast. The purpose is to serve the public according to Robert Kugler. There was also talks of setting up televisions in order for the victims of Fort Dix would be able to watch as if they were in the courtroom. Many of their courtrooms are being set up to be viewed live. This may be the future that we will see in courtrooms
My response to this is a clear sign of the advancement of technology. With visible court cases we can have the ability to have instant feedback for important cases. But I also think the focus really isn’t in the court cases but the judgment. This is were most of the main focus we’ll be put in
Extra security measures have been taken to keep everyone safe. Due to the nature of the cases extra perimeter security has been added and also metal detectors.
To me there seems to be an increases in the planning of attacks against Americans. Maybe this is due to our involvement in Iraq and other foreign countries. Most of these attacks are educated and our capable of doing other things but there is a hidden stigma against Americans The I think other Americans should address.
