Ethnic Divisions Delay Bosnia Transition Decision

The body overseeing Bosnia’s peace process has agreed to delay into 2009 a decision to end international supervision because ethnic division continues to prevent the country from meeting all necessary conditions. The OHR, which was created in 1995 to oversee implementation of the Dayton peace agreement, has been due to close in June 2007 but has already been extended amid the continuing tensions between Bosnia’s two parts.

I feel that it is unbelievable that Bosnia is still having issues this big just because of ethnic backgrounds. Something needs to be done soon before it is too late.
