Car Bomb in Peshawar market kills 49

Earlier in the week, a suicide car bomb attack killed 49 people in the market. At least 100 people were injured, some critically. Nearly 110 pounds of explosives were used in this attack. This is Pakistan’s capital and there is a lot of violence taking place. Suicide attacks have been an issue in this area and Taliban militants have vowed to step up a barrage to retaliate against the Pakistani government because of these attacks.
I do not understand suicide or these suicide attacks. I could never be a part of something like a suicide bomb attack. I could never plan to kill myself to kill others and inflict widespread conflict. Obviously the Pakistan nation is under some turmoil and is not in the best state right now but that doesn’t excuse an act such as suicide bombs. Reading this article made me very thankful to live where I do. Not to say we do not have crime in the US but I can walk around the mall and not worry about someone with a bomb. I also feel that if there is a problem with this kind of thing then there should be something being done about it.
