The article was about how the Olympic committee decided that Rio de Janeiro would be the city to host the 2016 Olympics. The article was basically about the public's reaction when their city was chosen. The Brazilian president said "it brought tears to his eyes" and that "Our hour has arrives" speaking of Brazil. This means they feel like they are finally getting a chance on the world scene. The article went into to talking about how they would prepare for the games and that they are starting now whics is weird because it's like 7 tears away.
My reaction to this was good for Brazil. It's good for them because loads of money will be poured into their economy during the games. The country will get loads of publicity and people to visit, which is a country's dream I think because it's an hour for your city and country to be chosen to host the games over all the other cities and countries in the world. This relates to trade/economy because the Olympics will be really good for Brazil's economy bringing in loads of money and visitor's to spend their money. Not to mention the publicity. That would be the case for any country or city that was chosent to host the games too.

I think that having the Olymipic's will really help to bust the economy and help the country as a whole.
