It has now been more than nine years that the United States and allies attacked Taliban regime in Afghanistan, and destroyed Al-Qaeda's only safe haven. The threat that Salafi jihandis created still continues to affect the people in Europe and American cities. “Al-Qaida and its affliliates were able to survive the loss of Afghanistan largely because they set up a base on the internet instead. The global jihadi movement only wants to reach one main goal, and that is to reestablish an Islamic caliphate and continue to spread it throughout the world. Since currently they haven’t been able to reach their goal now, they have declared the whole world to be what they say “dar al-harb,” which means land of war. They now have established a caliphate online instead, where they are able to plan their attacks and form new recruits. The Al-Qaida thanks the virtual world of caliphate because they have been able to continue to recruit new soldiers and train them for war and keep the global jihandi movement alive in cyberspace.
I think that this is amazing to find out that Al-Qaeda is using the internet to recruit their soldiers for war. This shows how the advancement of the internet has changed the world slowly. Now for the terrorist it is easier for them to recruit and plot their attacks towards another country. This is the beginning of a new phase of war, this will make it easier for any terrorist to accomplish what they want. Now maybe they will be able to accomplish their goal which is to reestablish an Islamic caliphate.

This is really surprising, moving towards internet for recruits. this could possibly lead to more terrorist the US must worry about, quicker access to communication between Taliban groups which can lead to easier tactical planning. This can pose many problems for the US.
