This explosion could be heard through out several miles in a city with about 14 million people, in Karachi, which is Pakistans biggest city. People that have seen this event happen say that the crater left 12 meters wide in front of the gutted building. there were several casualties that happened among this attack. "We have reports that there may be some women police among the casualties because there was a women's police station inside the building." CID officials and their offices, including the buildin have been targeted in the past in Karachi. There have been several suspects for the people responsible for this attack. Mohammad Aslam Khan, of the CID, he told BBC that the men arrested were planning to carry on Shia processions in the city. Buildings that were close by were badly damaged, while windows with in two miles in radius were shattered.
Attacks like theses still continue to go on in our world today. This keeps people more terrified of terrorism groups, since they are the ones that cause the worst damage towards our countries and communities. This to me is a very scary issue since more of these attacks continue to happen every day, and also because these attacks seem to become more dangerous and powerful. Al-Qaeda is starting to have an affect on people and starting to scare people in other countries with the terrorist attacks they are starting to create more often.

Fear is one of the biggest inherent weaknesses of mankind. Terrorists are taking advantage of this weakness to achieve their political purposes.
But i believe that as the textbook says, 'terrorism is the weapon of the weak and is a weak weapon'.
Terrorists can never achieve their purpose, that's why terrorist attacks keep happening. In the end, it will only turn the world of people into their common enemy and force governments all over the world to unite together and fight more vigorously against terrorism.
But, perhaps, instead of having unnecessary fears of terrorism(because we individuals can do nothing in our daily lives except staying alert), we should be sympathetic towards those being 'used' as terrorists and think about the central question: why on earth is there a cold-blooded group called terrorists?
I agree with Hing Min one hundred percent. Fear is a huge weakness. If the people of America, or any country for that matter, think about terrorist and attacks and things of that nature, it's a scary thought. So if people just don't really worry about terrorism, but know it's out there, than that could defeat the fear, which will defeat terrorism all together; because as Hing Min said that is in the textbook, 'terrorism is the weapon of the weak and is a weak weapon'.
Hing Min, that is an awesome quote from the book. I believe those words completely describe terrorism. However, how can one not fear terrorism, especially in the United States after Septemeber 11? It is hard to not fear another attack like that. Afterall, we thought we were invincible before that.
