Parkinson's New Arises

Parkinson's disease is a disease that has left many people stunned because of the countless numbers of questions that have yet to be answered about the disease. The cause of Parkinson's is still unknown. Although now there is proof from a recent report that says pollutants [in urban areas] may increase the risk of getting the disease in the future. Manganese and Copper pollution has been one of the types of pollutants that are said to maybe have an effect on city dwellers. The Washington University in St. Louis reports that people living in areas with higher levels of manganese pollution could have a 78 percent greater risk of having Parkinson's disease than those in areas of low pollution. Unlike in urban areas, research in rural areas show links from private well water and pesticides to higher risk to the disease. The Los Angeles Times' Greenspace blog stated lastyear, "Rural residents who drink from private well water are up to twice as likely to develop Parkinson's from a certain pesticide, including methomyl, chlorpyrifos and propargite, a UCLA study has found...". From a social aspect you can tell from this how pollution is something that is becoming a social problem because this small issue is now turning into a problem that may be cause people to contract a deadly disease. We seem to do be doing anything though to be solving this problem as Americans because everyday people are still dying from this disease. I think that this problem is coming from many places, but mostly because of the corporations that have factories causing pollution rates to rise and that is part of the problem. We have to do something to cut back on urban pollution that is causing this disease some may think. Also, with the rural population we need to be able to educate the people about safe ways of having well water to drink to potentially cut down on how much impact it is having on causing the disease.

People who suffer from Parkinson's are sick of taking painkillers such as Vicodin, hydrocodone, norco doctors usually prescribed to control chronic pain by altering the nervous system and are dangerous, even more than now are online, without prescription.

Interesting. I never knew Parkinson's was caused by pollution.
