7 shoppers killed in Dutch Mall shooting
Dutch officials said that a gunman started to fire at a mall on Saturday, in which he killed 7 people and wounded about 16 people. Then he shot his self in the head. The shooter was a 24-year-old man and used an automatic rifle and killed his self before the police came. I believe there should have been police officers at the scene before he started firing. Security officers need to step up their game and start taking action. Working like they do is not going to work because these kinds of criminal activities always happen. If they become more responsible then criminal activities will decrease. The shooter was a Dutch national who was living with his father. Police officers went to his father’s house and confiscated the computer and other materials after the shooting happened. By taking those things away what can they possibly do? I don’t think anything can be done because of that. The shooting was already done and so many people were killed and wounded. If security was more responsible then the shooting wouldn’t have took place and even if it did, the shooter would not have killed so many people and wounded others. Police officers found a farewell note at the suspect’s mother’s home. In the letter it said that he had placed explosives in several commercial areas. After they found out they went and took care of those places, but no explosives were found. From the wounded people 3 of them are in critical condition. I think security needs to be more accountable from now on.

Yes I believe also that there should have been some type of policemen stationed there and they should have extra help but if you think of it they cant because of budgets. This situation is sad.
Security should, from now on, be able to carry guns instead of those little flashlights and batons. I feel that if maybe security had guns the gunmen wouldn't have gotten as far and those people would be okay.
Security is a must and should be able to have the necessary tools to carry out the job. People are getting worse and security needs to up its game up!
