Up to this day in medical history the United States and other emerging countries have really stepped up in their technical medical procedures and how they go about practicing them. It seem as if the doctors of the day have figured out how to do pretty much everything to help or save a human being in need at a given time weather it be an random accident or health related disease.
Even with our great advances in medical support for the public some operations still don’t always go the way they are planned to turn out. In the Focus Taiwan new channel they had an article about how an organ transplant did not go as smooth as it should have been for the very sick patients whose vital organs failed and needed a transplant to replace them as soon as possible for them to stay alive. In this situation the doctors doing the procedure failed to confirm the donors HIV test results into the computer before transplanting and failed to listen to the coordinator over the phone during which a misunderstanding occurred. A little miscommunication in this procedure, had lead to a giant problem in the end. After they realized they made a huge mistake there was no going back and the implants were in. The team did not follow the operating procedure and it came back to bite them after. They had given the 5 recipients HIV in the process, which they now had to help them even further. This mishap has endangered the life of 5 victims in Taiwan that now have to take a combination of drugs for months. Even when those months have passed the professionals can still not determine weather they are gong to be ok or not.
One tiny mistake ended up creating a large problem that could have easily been avoided and the lives of those 5 have changed drastically and their outcome is still unknown weather or not they will be able to survive.
