The benefits of Women having higher positions

As we have been learning in class women have the most informal jobs in the market.  This takes place all over the world.  Women are not given the opportunity to prove themselves as capable because they are not given the chance.  Groups all around the world are trying to fight this inequality women receive in the workforce.  Certain groups have set out to research women holding senior management.  Many US universities and organizations did studies in the workplace to see why women are not obtaining more successful positions.  Then they gave the proposal that more women getting senior manager position would affect the whole business positively.  They claim women can drive companies to have better performance.  I myself working for a female boss of a restaurant can back this up.  She cares to more detail than my male assistant manager.  She cares for employees which helps them in return care for her business.  Considering this is the position I hope to hold in five years this inequality affects myself greatly too.  Men’s dominance in society makes it hard for women to get promoted because the decision lies in their hands.  Therefore running more research and stating reasons why higher positions for women would be a good thing is important.  Some women around the world do not even long for as big of hopes as I wish to achieve, but just to be able to work.  They want to be able leave the house and help provide for themselves and their families.  WE have come a long way, but the road on continues.
