Our human rights are not a fad. We don't need this Botox bill

In this article, the main point that was being stressed is if the human rights act should continued to be enforced or should it be conformed into a constitutional revolution. As we all know, Liberal Democrats feel that this their right and solemnly vowed to defend the Human Rights Act and Conservatives to replace it. As expected, this has caused some major tension between these positions. Assumptions started to be made that the Human Rights Act was safe for this parliament. But while the coalition agreement was infused with the language of liberty and considerable substance in terms of scrapping ID cards, reviewing anti-terror laws and rationalising databases, one of the most progressive inheritances of the Labor government was certainly not protected. Some believe these acts are beneficial to us as not only a nation, but as a society as well.  Others however, say that the act gives too much power even to British judges. Whatever the different intepretations/opinions of the human rights act are, it seems that one thing is clear, it is causing a huge controversy between these parties.

My opinion on the whole human rights act is that just like laws, most acts are enforced to protect us the people and for the MOST part we should take heed in obeying these acts to protect us as people. I think the name says it all, the HUMAN rights acts they were meant to help not hurt us. You know what the old saying says, if it's NOT broke, DON'T fix it. This same theory, I think should be applied to this situation.

Government systems have always had problems, it should be taken on by the people in a society to protect the rights of everyone in and out of said society.

Wow, I never believed that human rights was really showed in America. It can be written down in a bill, or law, but it all comes down to what actions are taken, and for the time being it doesn't seem to make a difference to personal choice. People know that stealing is against the law, but we still hear stories of people stealing, circumstances are always different but the outcome is still the same. It is really sad when people are shocked that people are treated fairly.
