Blog #5: Bombs over Bangkok

The Thai police want to arrest another man allegedly behind the bombings in Bangkok.  He is the 5th member of the Israeli diplomats. They say a 52 year old man named Nikkhahfard Javad was seen leaving the Bangkok building where the bombing first took place and took him into custody.  The Thai criminal court has issued four warrants for four other Iranians.  The bombings had injured four people and the next bomb had been found and they safely denoted it, so it didn’t go off.  The National Security Council has tied the bombs in Bangkok linked to ones in India and Georgia.  Iran had denied that they had anything to do with the bombings in Bangkok.  Iranians say that Israelis are often the perpetrators of such terrorist acts.  No one has actually tied the Iranians to the bombings it’s just what they think as of right now.  They are holding three Iranian suspects in custody and one of them blew one of their legs off while making a bomb.  They just took another Iranian woman into custody because she was the renter of a house where one of the bombs exploded.  She says “it was by accident” that she was the house renter and the bomb went off.

These crimes are very serious but taking a man into custody because of his race is discrimination.  He had no connection to bombings or the other bombs in custody, they just happen to be the same race.  This kind of discrimination goes on everywhere and it can happen to anyone.  I’ve had it happen to me just because I was different from everyone around me.  People get accused of crimes just because of their race and ethnicity.
