Blog 6: World alarmed over Homs bombing

Over 10,00 people have been killed in daily bombardments by the Syrian President Assad’s forces. 19 more were killed on Wednesday in an attempt to make the city  Homs submit. This has caused an international outcry for the bloodshed to end! Russia is one of Syria’s few allies and said that it is trying to send safe aid to the civilians that are trapped in this violence.  Many civilians are too scared to leave their shelters or homes and are near starvation. They watch many wounded people around them die from the crime and violence.  France is one country that wants Syria to stop attacks on Homs that way safe access can be provided to tend to the wounded civilians. Violence is high and YouTube videos show several men dying from bullet wounds with their hands tied behind their back. The US and its allies are working on trying to find a plan that will help all this violence and crime end.
It is unfortunate that all this crime and violence is taking place in Syria. Many innocent civilians are killed. Other civilians are starving to death and living off of rain water for fear of leaving their homes or shelters.  Most of these killings and bombings that are taking place are from the Syrian President Assad’s forces. All the bloodshed is not helping the country. Instead it is making it a terrible and dangerous place to live. It is good that other countries are trying to step in and help. This bloodshed is a serious global crime issue. The Syrian civilians do not have anyone in their own country that they can trust. They live in fear and see many other innocent people dying around them from the government. People need to step in and help them because they do not have anyone else.
