The researchers stated that
children who drink soft drinks regularly may have high risk that lead to cardiovascular disease. The precursory of
signs of cardiovascular disease could be seen in children as young as 12 who
are consuming huge amount of sugary drinks. The symptoms are narrowing blood vessels inside the eye. The
researchers from the Westmead Institute for medical research observed at the
link between carbohydrates which includes sugars and retinal health of
children. The University of Sydney found retinal arteries in those who intake 274 grams of carbohydrate daily. The causes
for those carbohydrate was soft drinks that kids drink one or more glasses a day. The
retinal blood vessel represent a
accurate signal of blood vessel health through the entire body. The statistics
depicts that girls have higher association in high carbohydrate diet and
narrowed blood vessel than guys. The researchers are trying to study the same
children throughout adolescence to see if the damage occurred beyond childhood.
I believe the government needs to warn parents and children to cut down on carbohydrates and sugar since it causes diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease. Soft drinks didn’t give any advantage to health at all instead it is really bad for overall health. The disease rates and deaths would be lessened if we cut on the soft drinks and it would help to reduce cardiovascular disease globally. We all need to apply health habits, exercise daily, and drink water instead of soft drink since water is really good for your health.

The government, doctors, nutritionists and people of society in general need to push the importance of proper eating habits further than they already do. I know for a fact Americans take in a large amount of carbohydrates daily, especially if we eat fast food and a lot of soda. You gave the perfect solution, apply proper eating habits and exercise.
