Blog 13: Cardiovascular disease could be prevented through high fibre foods

Cardiovascular disease could be prevented through high fibre foods

University of Lind Researchers stated that food with high fibers can fight against cardiovascular disease. Women will be benefit more from this technique, whereas mens can be protected against strokes. Cardiovascular disease can incur either coronary heart disease or the aforementioned stroke. According to the NHS, Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death. One third of deaths in the UK are due to cardiovascular disease. The researcher Peter Wallstrom  discover that women gain more fiber  from better resources whereas men ate more bread to harvest the substance. He also believes that cardiovascular disease cannot be prevented from dieting, if you have to combat cardiovascular, you have to high fiber food.  Women who ate high fiber food had almost 25% lower risk of getting cardiovascular disease than who ate a lower-fiber diet. In men the effect was less pronounced. In the end , the researchers believed that they should pay more attention to gender when they conduct research on diet.
I believe the researcher did a really great job to conclude that the consuming of fibers are really essential for the health and best way to stop cardiovascular disease whereas dieting is not that successful to combat cardiovascular disease. I am glad the research brought up the point that they need to pay attention to gender when they do their research. We all need to take high fiber diet so that we would have fewer chances to suffer from cardiovascular disease and solve this issue globally.
High Fiber diet will increase our life expectancy and decrease the death rate which means cardiovascular disease won’t be the leading cause of the death.
