Blog 1 Apple and Samsung Battle

The Japanese court on Friday finally won a lawsuit against apple. The lawsuit stated “Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones and tablets did not violate an Apple patent on technology that synchronizes music and videos between gadgets and servers. This was a first win for the Samsung who last week previously was defeated by apple. In that lawsuit Samsung  owed 1.9 million dollars to apple for infringement of their technology.
Samsung electronics based in South Korea confirmed the ruling their company did not duplicate Apple’s smartphone. Apples Smartphone is the top selling smartphone in Japan.  Although Samsung is the largest maker of the smartphone in Japan.
Technology experts feel these rulings between these technology giants will make the smartphone developers to be more innovative instead of duplicating. Samsung is the largest seller of the smartphone and Apple is the second largest. These two giants control over fifty percent of the global market.

I have been following this article very closely because of the ties between Apple and Samsung. Since I have the Apple Smartphone I was intrigued as to what these two companies were trying to accomplish with suing each other. Since the courts have determined there is no duplication, it is now time for both companies to end the war and develop new technology for their smartphones. It is more important at this time to be creative and examine their product to develop new and more innovative technology to meet the needs of the consumer.
