Blog #1: Gunman kill 12 in assault on Libyan Oil Field.

There are two governments controlling different parts of Libya with there own armies. These rivals have been fighting over Libya oil ports for months. An attack on a Libyan oil field left twelve people dead on Tuesday. A French diplomat source says that the Islamic State is behind the attack that occurred on Tuesday. No one knows for a fact if the Islamic State actually was involved with the attack. They are expected to be involved because they were apart of another attack at a hotel. That attack took place before this one and nine people died. The Tripoli government denies the possibility of the Islamic being involved altogether. They say that the Islamic State and Libya have loyalty towards each other.
The disagreements between the rival arm factions Es Sider and Ras Lanuf has caused a lot of damage. Staff was withdrawn from the Al-Mabook site and had no personnel on shore since July. Soon after that the Al-Mabook was shut down altogether. The Al-Mabook pumped 40,000 barrels a day. So the attacks and disagreements aren't only affecting the cities its affecting the oil supply as well.
