Egypt: End 'Shoot to stop' Practice at Senai Crossing Boarders Vanida Chithtamath 11:03am

November 12th in Cairo, Egypt, Egyptian guards haved killed 32 African immigrants trying to cross into the boarders of Israel. Many of those who have manage to get pass boarder patrol has been returned back to Egypt from Israel. The Human Rights Watch organization now has concerns for the returned detainees. The Egyptian government has not disclosed their whereabouts and has not confirmed if they are being treated fairly. The government has said, they returned some of the detainees to their native land. This is a dangerous situation because that could cause potential harm for the returning detainees and they risk prosecution from their native land. The solution the Egyptian boarder patrol has come up with is to start shooting any African immigrant who crosses their boarders without questions asked. Many of these refugees are coming from war torn Sudan and Ertirea. They seek asylum and wish to say in Senai but Israel and Egypt do not want to have anything to do with these immigrants. Human rights watch proclaims that Egypt and Israel needs to abide by the refugee laws and the ICCRP where they should be compelled to help these war refugees.

I understand the position of Egypt, they don't want all these excessive immigration from a war torn country. They don't want to have to deal with housing them and using their resources, but it is unfair that they are shooting those that cross at the boarder. It is just as bad as the immigrants staying in their own country, and getting prosecuted. It is a lose, lose situation for them. I feel that HRW is doing the right thing in stepping in and trying to urge Egypt and Israel to do the humane thing.

This is really sad and I agree with you. Why do they have to do this? But it is hard to understand what they are going through!
