Gender equality: is there still room for improvment?

Many countries are just now opening up to gender equality. Some places are strict in regard to what things a woman can do and many have less of a glass ceiling. One huge issue that many women are faced with in attaining equality for is their education. Historically, men are usually the ones who are sent to school while the woman is left to learn domestic skills. It could have been a matter of the rules in society, among the family, or their financial means. However, many things have changed and the opportunity is becoming easier to attain. In Ireland a school named Trinity is empowering the very motive of trying to attain gender equality.
The strongest women’s study programme in Ireland is located at a school named Trinity. They are trying to promote what is a fairly new thing in Ireland of equality for women. It was until the year 1916 that women were included in their states law. It was the Irish Proclamation that included rights for women. Trinity also express itself as an equal employment employer. This is even though Ireland still hasn't fully recovered from the inequality it had imposed in the past. In the year 2004 Ireland had the eighth lowest proportion of women in the parliament among EU member states. There also remains a gap in the pay wages in Ireland. There are other governmental plans being implanted to help but more needs to be done.
What Trinity is doing is great even though the country still faces struggles in finding equality women. Hopefully, people will follow what the people in the schools follow and live by. Gender equality needs to be gained and this is an excellent way of doing this.

I agree that trinity is a step forward for women. Some women are unaware that they are just as equal as men because they are stuck in the past and it was the only thing they know. I think it’s a good thing that its being brought to their attention. Education such an important issue can only lead to improvement.
