This article is about a women named Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan, who desputised for the Attorney General and minister of Justice. Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan, is a woman who is fighting for women’s rights in Africa. Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan has made many guarantees for women in Africa in order to protect them. Some of her promises include protection, empowerment, prohibition, punishment, violence against women, and the rehabilitation of women victims. She also wants to include a guarantee that women’s rights will be a peaceful existence. Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan does not want women to be threatened because they are starting to have rights. The protocol is to protect the women of Africa and not to harm their well being. Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan says that these changes need to be made as soon as possible in order to help women become more dominate.
I believe that rights for women in Africa are very over due. These women need to be able to live their lives without being afraid to walk to the street. Women in Africa have been rapped and abused, and the government has done little to change these occurrences. I am very glad to hear that Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan is trying to change things for women by empowering them. I do not think women should be scared to stand up for themselves, but in the past they have been. Now, with the help of Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan, women will be able to not be afraid anymore. I think one of the best things Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan is doing is starting a program to help women who have been abused physically and emotionally. Hon. Therese Sarr- Toupan is trying her best to help African women and I think that she is taking tremendous strides.
