Flying Vs. Driving

For long trips many people chose flying than following the double yellow line all the way to their destination. Driving releases fewer fossil fuels than flying. The article states that if you were to drive from Philadelphia to Boston a car would emit around 104 kilograms of CO2. If a person were to fly the CO2 emission would be about 184 kilograms per passenger. These numbers grow with farther miles traveled however, driving is always less than flying.

This article makes sense when you're basing it off of person to person ratios. However, driving cross country isn't always the most fuel efficient decision. I agree that is better to car pool than to ride single rider and to try and drive places that are close together than to fly. However, sometimes flying is the better rout to take.

This is something interesting I did not know. I would love to fly everywhere I go but it is also the money that comes in the way. My parents like to drive EVERYWHERE. Including our annual family christmas trip to Colorado last year; 27 freaking hours.
