The United States is making an effort to help African medical schools. In doing this they have decided to donate one hundred and thirty million dollars to the schools in an effort to improve the medical education. The Obama administration announced this stating that the donations will be given over a period of five years, to multiple schools, in about twelve countries. The money is coming from America’s relief fund towards AIDS, but will still be used for many doctors specializing in all sorts of areas. This money will help the salaries of the nurses and doctors, the buying of new technology, and scholarships for poor families who have a son or daughter wanting to be a doctor. This money will be put to good use in medical labs, and supplying the technicians and doctors to use them.
In this effort, it will not only affect Africa, but the world as a whole. In the process of helping the countries in Africa, this will in turn make better doctors who can help people all over the world. I am so happy America is helping Africa. It is so important to help the global problem of health disease’s and not enough doctors to help. In the rural parts of Africa, there are hardly no doctors, but no there will be an increased opportunity that those people can seek medical attention. This can potentially save millions of people in the African countries.

I think it is really great that so much money is being provided to help people in Africa. I think it is wise to spread the funds out over a five year term. This can help assure that the money will be spent wisely.
These donations are beneficial since they will keep giving back to communities in need by educating future doctors and health staff.
