Need to Exchange in Education?

This article is short but has a big topic behind it. The article is describing how the United Kingdom looks positively at foreign exchange programs, bringing multiple countries together on a global aspect. The British’s Council says that there is a lot of learning to be learned everywhere, not just in the United Kingdom. Students should go all over the world and learn not only the same curriculum they would at their homeland but also learn the culture of their visiting country.

I am kind of uncertain about the program of foreign exchange students going to different countries to study their normal curriculum. I feel that it is strenuous on the children to have to go to another country just to do the same thing they can do in their homeland. I feel that the stress of meeting and being accepted into a new group of people can take a toll on the student’s schoolwork, which then defeats the purpose of going to another country to study. On the other hand I think it would be a great opportunity for a chance to go and see new world and experience the culture of others, some you did not even knew existed. It seems to be an exhilarating experience.

I feel that our tomorrow’s future should be wiling and able to work with others, which is becoming more likely due to technology capability. I just feel that instead of going on a journey to a new country and still keeping up with your schooling; the exchange program should let the students go but learn through experience and not in the classroom, in which they are learning the exact same thing their loved ones back at home are learning.

Having a personal experience with a young teen who went all over Europe a few summers ago she had little stress for the short time she was gone but at the same time learned so much about the different countries she visited. I believe this would be the best option for a student.
