London seized it's biggest shipment of illegal drugs back in June of 2011. Later on into the investigation they arrested 6 people that they thought were involved from the international narcotics ring. Their border patrol seized 2,600 pounds of cocaine from a luxury yacht. After tracking the boat and undergoing an investigation for six days they found the drugs hidden beneath the boat's platform. The cocaine's street value was worth $493 million being that it was 90 percent pure. The crime agency has said that their efforts to stop this kind of drug trafficking has helped bring this international crime gang to justice.

This type of drug trafficking can bring all types of dangers to an environment. This is a social problem because selling drugs can harm a society. Whether you are buying, selling, or using it leaves an effect on society. Many people lose their life or have to deal with life long issues because of these drugs. Although all may not see it as a problem, for example the people selling them and making money off of them, it is still a social problem because it harms and causes dangers to others in a society.
