Blog #1: Suspicion grows China was behind hack of US Commission

During this month of January, the United Stated –China Economic and Security Review Commission was hacked.  There were evident that the hacker was sending spam to a former U.S. Commerce Department official, William Reinsch’s NFTC (National Foreign Trade Council) email address.  The U.S. Commerce wondering was the hacker located in India.  When receiving more information, the hacker was not new in the U.S. Commerce security system and it makes him a professional to access Resinsch’s email account.  They later found out the hacker was from China because China have connection with the United States Commission and found a right mark to damage the security systems.  I am pleased that the U.S. Commission found their hacker, but the investigation could go a lot easier if they search the people who work close to them not outside of the United States-China Commission.  The U.S. should not blame India for hacking into NFTC’s email.  The U.S. Commission should be silent after the investigation is over and then they should announcements the right suspect in that certain country.  The Commission should have prier training in the security systems and need to update their security system, so this event would not happens again.  Hacking activities are serious in the cyber world.  The hackers would illegal access uses’ accents, take a lot of private information, and damaging the security system’s image.  It is not only a social issue; it can be a global problem.  The hacker is entering in an account and taking someone private information and it abuse the privacy for the internet user.
