Afghan Investigators Say Wedding Party Raids Killed 65

Early this week a U.S. coalition air strike hit a wedding party in Southern Afghanistan. Over thirty people were wounded and not to mention thirty seven civilians and twenty six Taliban militants were killed in this attack.
Apparently Taliban militants ambushed a convoy of international soldiers near a village and used the villagers as human shields. There has been much speculation going on about the aims of the NATO-led troops who have killed extreme amounts of civilians in their attacks. Also there has been speculation over just how violent the Taliban Militant has been getting. I suppose the U.S. feels that it must do whatever it takes to take down the Taliban, however the Taliban obviously is working very hard to do the same. The Taliban Militant recently kidnapped and released a Dutch reporter who has been working on an article about a recent clash between the Taliban and NATO-led troops that left 10 French soldiers dead. A ransom was demanded for the reporter, however it is not known whether one was paid or not, but the reporter is now free and safe. And although this Taliban violence is growing, the U.S. is now being urged to stop all civilian deaths. Afghan President Hamid Karzai has urged U.S. President-elect Barack Obama to make this his priority.

I completely agree with this article to an extent, I'm not for the deaths of innocent civilians. Though I do believe that the troops have a duty to protect our country from future attacks led by extreme militants, especially since they have made direct threats against us. So what are they to do? That has to be a tedious job.
