Pakistan has once again been hit by United States missiles. This will be the second attack in November and continuation in a spree of missiles that have been allegedly shot by the United States military since early this summer. The event occurred in Ghari Ayub, which is a town in the North Waziristan region of Pakistan. The two missiles hit the home of Mir Gul. Ironically, the commander of NATO forces, David Mckiernan, met with Pakistani lawmakers. This meeting was most likely an attempt in negotiations between the United States and Pakistan that has still not met on relative terms. For months now, Pakistan officials have been displeased with the conduct of the United States Military. Although, they are not at ease with the state of their worn-torn country, they have advised the United States to cease any undeclared fire near this Afghanistan border. Pakistan has called for an ending of these events which they believe ruin Pakistan’s sovereignty. The United States’ approach on this matter lies on the fact that this area is a highly concentrated region for al Qaeda members. Pakistan has not been ignorant to take this into consideration. In fact, their military has taken the largest amount of offense fighters to battle Islamic extremists since they officially became a political power in March. This rising conflict is not only creating tensions between the United States and Pakistan, but threatening the most crucial element that both countries aim for, defeating terrorism in this country.
