I read this interesting article from The Australian, and it really caught my attention because it talks about different methods that are being researched and used around the world as alternatives sources for energy as well as methods to help restore the environment and the atmosphere. The article talks about how people are investing by buying stocks in the sector that is referred as Clean-tech, “the term used to describe companies involved in renewable energy, bio-fuels, energy efficiency, water purification technology, salinity, carbon sequestration projects, alternative engine technology, electrical switching devices, clean coal technologies and new materials”. These companies are experimenting and have been very successful with different methods such as using methane gas from landfills trying to deal with several of the problems that affect the environment, such as depletion of natural resources as well as waste management, they also are using ORG, a gas that is released in coal mines but now is being tapped out of these mines because it’s a clean burning gas that works very efficiently. They talk about how investing in this business, is a great idea because all these issues are global by nature, and is obviously a growing market since our planet is quickly deteriorating and many governments are looking at these companies to come up with a solution.
In my opinion this is an excellent idea, especially to promote these ideas to clean the planet as a business, because the main reason that we have abused our planet is because of money, and if we give wealthy people this business proposal where they can earn money while helping the planet than this might help reverse the terrible conditions that our world is going through, whether is global warming or resource depletion. In reality this will be a great investment because the demand for these services are so high, Governments are very urgent especially with the fear that we will soon run out of petroleum, and the problems that the climate change is causing in our world. It doesn’t really matter if these people actually care about changing the world, even if its greed that drives them, it would still help make planer earth a better cleaner one.

This article sounds really interessting-we only have 1 world, if we waste it there won't be another one.
I think we need to start re-thinking in our daily lifes. If people start e.g. to switch off the lights when they go out of their rooms, turn off their cars while waiting for s.o., take their bike or walk instead of using the car. There are thousands of examples how WE could change and we do OUR part to save the earth.
