This article is basically about unemployment growing in America while at the same time, decreasing in Australia, so to speak, and how migrants are affecting this unemployment rate. Even though one company has been sent to Australia from the United States, increasing jobs, the unemployment rate is increasing in America and Australia. Even though Australia has increased from from 3.9 per cent to 5.8 per cent, it is still relatively well compared to the United States 10.2 percent of unemployment. Not only is the unemployment rising, but the number of people that are being born into the country and brought into the country is dramatically increasing day by day. In Australia, there are currently anywhere from250,000 to 300,000 people coming into the country in a year. Many begin to raise the question as to whether or not they should stop letting these people in.
Most believe that this would decrease the population and help with unemployment by allowing more Australians get jobs; however, one must realize that these migrants are good for the economy. They add a demand to the economy, hence, bringing extra jobs into the country by making the need more necessary. They also may have different skills that are necessary to complete a job that the people who are currently doing are unable to do because of their lacking of that particular skill. This will ultimately increase the competitiveness of production for the country.
I completley agree with this article. I believe that migrants are very important to all economies, including Australia's. Without them, our economies would almost surely collapse. I am glad that people are starting to realize this and trying to make it known to all.

I also agree that they are an important part of our economy...many times we get caught up in the politics of the matters, but we must just sit back and realize that they are just as valuable as we are
