.:SUMMARY:.
At 11:00AM est, Attorney General Eric Holder will publicly announce that the Guantanamo Bay detainees with alleged ties to 9/11, including accused mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be transferred to New York for trial in civilian courts. Mohammed, Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Walid bin Attash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, are the five prisoners that will be transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, which is not to far from where the Twin Towers once stood. The other five people being held at Guantanamo will be sent to military commissions for their trials. Mohammed has confessed to the crimes of planning the September 11, 2009 attacks but, it has been proven that torture techniques such as waterboarding were used, so the confession may be voided during trial.
.:REACTION:.
WHOA! Okay, first of all its about damn time that the American public got some info on what is going on with the investigation of 9/11. Secondly, yeah yeah the whole bill of rights and stuff, cruel and unusual punishment, but can’t we break our own rules just this once? In my opinion what that man caused to happen to our country and our people goes way above and beyond cruel and unusual punishment. Also, I think this is another perfect example of a great opportunity to use capital punishment.
