A Russian military officer, 31 year old Captain Nikolai Zakharkin, was accused of throwing his common-law wife's twin girls out of a eight floor window. The 8 year old girls survived the fall. Russia's top investigative body said that he allegedly attacked the girls early Thursday because he got angry and jealous his wife returned home late. One of the girls had a less serious condition than the other and got released from the hospital early; the other remained until Friday. The officer was said to have sent his common-law wife a text message saying "You may bid farewell to Dasha and Katya." He denied all accusations of throwing them out of the window. The reason why the twins are still alive is because some trees broke thier fall and they landed on wet ground. One of the little girls was asleep when she fell out of the window.
This story is very interesting to me. Although it is very sad, good thing the little girls didnt die or for that matter have any serious condition at all. He should be locked up for attempted murder and never get out. I mean who would do such a thing; Especially a military officer at that! They are supposed to protect us not hurt thier own family. Goodness, the what a world. I guess everyone is human though. If he is found innocent of this crime I will be very shocked.

Oh my goodness! Those poor little girls! I agree that he should go to jail for a very long time! Its good to know that they both survived and will be okay though!

This is just horrible! And he is a military officer. I am just glad that the girls are okay and he got caught.
